“I purchased my first Windows PC in 1987 and by 2004, I could see the potential for growth in tech support generally. I gained my Diploma in Information Technology in 2005. I then started PC Sanity in 2006 especially because I found there was a lack of support for novice and mature-age computer users. As a mature-age technician, I found that most computer technicians didn’t and still don’t provide patient, honest advice with old-fashioned personalized service or use plain-language instead of geek speak. I am extremely patient and very understanding even with complete newbies and I’m well known for that attribute.”
Our Difference
PC Sanity has been in business since 2006. We concentrate on the quality of service provided rather than the quantity of customers served. As we have low overheads and our profit margins are low, our prices are very competitive with the big shops. We always provide honest advice and prompt, reliable and affordable repairs. Jeff is a mature-age technician and as such treats all customers with respect and personally handles all repairs and communications.

We offer a high level of "old-fashioned" personal service most computer repair companies don't. Being a mature technician, Jeff will treat you with respect even if you are a complete novice. We give plain English explanations.

- install all critical/important Windows Updates
- install latest Adobe Reader, uninstall trial programs
- disable unnecessary Startup entries (makes your computer load Windows faster)

Fast Turnaround Time
For in-workshop jobs, our turn-around time is very short. Most jobs are completed within one or two days. When you collect your computer, we actually demonstrate that it is fixed & are happy to explain the changes made/work carried out on your computer & (where available) show you the logs. We send you a courtesy email afterwards to follow-up on your computer service/repair.
On-site, pickup, dropoff or remote
We offer onsite computer repairs, pick-up service, Remote Access or you can bring your computer to us at our office in Rochedale, Logan, Brisbane.

ALERT! 119 Microsoft Edge extensions promised useful tools, but instead downloaded malware:
They were all tied to one adware campaign. and were downloaded by 2.6 M users. View the full list of extensions on the Malwarebytes link. If you have any of them installed, remove them immediately!
The extensions all promised, and delivered, some kind of basic functionality: ad blockers, VPNs, translators, video downloaders, calculators, coupon extensions and so on. But after a while, they turned out to be “sleepers” and secretly started downloading additional malware.
Among the payload was malware involved in ad fraud, but also extensions that ran arbitrary JavaScript pushed from the server, which stole Google credentials and second-factor codes at sign-in, harvested WordPress admin logins, and exfiltrated cookies in bulk for session hijacking.

My response: If it catches hackers... then great - as long as that GDID ability is not used for non-criminal purposes!
