Technician Profile

Jeff Threlfall

“I purchased my first Windows PC in 1987 and by 2004, I could see the potential for growth in tech support generally. I gained my Diploma in Information Technology in 2005. I then started PC Sanity in 2006 especially because I found there was a lack of support for novice and mature-age computer users. As a mature-age technician, I found that most computer technicians didn’t and still don’t provide patient, honest advice with old-fashioned personalized service or use plain-language instead of geek speak. I am extremely patient and very understanding even with complete newbies and I’m well known for that attribute.”

Our Difference

PC Sanity has been in business since 2006. We concentrate on the quality of service provided rather than the quantity of customers served. As we have low overheads and our profit margins are low, our prices are very competitive with the big shops. We always provide honest advice and prompt, reliable and affordable repairs. Jeff is a mature-age technician and as such treats all customers with respect and personally handles all repairs and communications.

N

Personal Service

We offer a high level of "old-fashioned" personal service most computer repair companies don't. Being a mature technician, Jeff will treat you with respect even if you are a complete novice. We give plain English explanations.

N

Honest & Reliable

We provide user-friendly, honest and reliable computer repair, maintenance, support, upgrades, troubleshooting, networking, security services in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. Our new PCs & notebooks are very competively priced.

N

Inclusions

When we supply you a PC or notebook, we provide System Setup included in the quoted price:

  • finalise the (pre-installed) Windows setup
  • install all critical/important Windows Updates
  • install latest Adobe Reader, uninstall trial programs
  • disable unnecessary Startup entries (makes your computer load Windows faster)
  • plus more

Check out the fluff I removed from a customer's MSI gaming laptop. He had complained of overheating. I also redid the thermal paste on his CPU & GPU. When he collected the laptop, he told me he uses the laptop on his bed.🤦‍♂️

I explained to him that the vents get blocked by doonas or whatever you have over your mattress. It has vents on the side plus the myriad of slotted vents on the underside.

He is now incredibly pleased with how well his laptop performs!

Hi Jeff, Thanks for all your help with my "imposter" and the "fake" page pretending to be me. The help that you gave was sensational and I just wanted to thank you and let you know how much I appreciated all the help - as I was way out of my depth (as a 'techie'). As a result, I have now been notified by facebook that the site did in fact violate their standards and that the page has been (once again) closed down. Fingers crossed that they do not show up yet again. Once again, thank you.

Fantastic service, got things working fast, and best of all they troubleshooted after, as well as before, to ensure the fix worked as it should after shut-down and start up

I have been using PC Sanity's service for about 13 years to service/repair my computer. Jeff is a good, honest chap and very competent in his work, Never had to take a computer back to him after he has worked on it.. One would go a long way to find a more reputable computer technician. His fees are reasonable too.

Jeff is absolutely brilliant - built me a custom PC with all the specs I wanted, for hundreds of dollars less than the nearest competitor's price, and really fantastic communication.
