“I purchased my first Windows PC in 1987 and by 2004, I could see the potential for growth in tech support generally. I gained my Diploma in Information Technology in 2005. I then started PC Sanity in 2006 especially because I found there was a lack of support for novice and mature-age computer users. As a mature-age technician, I found that most computer technicians didn’t and still don’t provide patient, honest advice with old-fashioned personalized service or use plain-language instead of geek speak. I am extremely patient and very understanding even with complete newbies and I’m well known for that attribute.”
Our Difference
PC Sanity has been in business since 2006. We concentrate on the quality of service provided rather than the quantity of customers served. As we have low overheads and our profit margins are low, our prices are very competitive with the big shops. We always provide honest advice and prompt, reliable and affordable repairs. Jeff is a mature-age technician and as such treats all customers with respect and personally handles all repairs and communications.

We offer a high level of "old-fashioned" personal service most computer repair companies don't. Being a mature technician, Jeff will treat you with respect even if you are a complete novice. We give plain English explanations.

- finalise the (pre-installed) Windows setup
- install all critical/important Windows Updates
- install latest Adobe Reader, uninstall trial programs
- disable unnecessary Startup entries (makes your computer load Windows faster)

Fast Turnaround Time
For in-workshop jobs, our turn-around time is very short. Most jobs are completed within one or two days. When you collect your computer, we actually demonstrate that it is fixed & are happy to explain the changes made/work carried out on your computer & (where available) show you the logs. We send you a courtesy email afterwards to follow-up on your computer service/repair.
On-site, pickup, dropoff or remote
We offer onsite computer repairs, pick-up service, Remote Access or you can bring your computer to us at our office in Rochedale, Logan, Brisbane.

ALERT: Australians warned of fake $890 Centrelink 'bonus payment' #clickbait #scam:
Websites peddling the scam are popping up faster than they can be shut down. The scammers want to steal Australians' #MyGov credentials.
Scammers have created websites and social media posts advertising a new "one-off payment", "Centrelink cash relief payment" or "bonus payment". They claim the payment is being made for a variety of reasons including including help with the cost or assistance for concession card holders. They offer varying amounts of money, including $750 and $1,800.

Microsoft now charges $159/year for Microsoft 365 Personal subscription(1-user for up to 5 devices) PC Sanity only charges $121.

It was closed at the time, and probably restrained amidst other luggage so that at some point, a vehicle braked hard and a very hard and heavy thing (not an elephant) slid forward and 'impacted' this .. L to R at a guess. Alternately it flew with Ryan-Air.
I could be wrong, but the SSD might have survived...
